Hey Guys,
I heard back from Matt and he said that he felt the meeting was good Tuesday night. I am glad to hear you all looked at David and Jonathon. I have been reading about David for the past week or so.
We can continue this path with David and look at different "seasons" in his life....shepherd, warrior, man after God's on heart, Bathsheba, family life, etc.
I praise God for you guys.

Joey

Hey Guys
I hope you guys are OK. I missed you guys this week. Were you all able to get together? What did you talk about? I heard that you all wanted to study John or David. Sorry that I did not get back to you Matt.
I look forward to seeing you this weekend. Friday night is the BASS family movie night and then our time on Sunday morning.
In Jesus,
Joey

Isaac
Hey Guys,
Great meeting tonight. I still believe we are on the right track with studying the lives of some of the men in the Bible. Certainly God has used the men and the events in their lives to serve as markers for us to follow. Obviously the main example is Jesus and the call the be Holy as He is Holy is far beyond "our" capability, but nothing is impossible with God. We will never reach this perfection until we meet Jesus face to face in Heaven. However, we are charged by the word of God to strive for this perfection.
It is good and encouraging to know that our acceptance by God does not depend on our perfection. Isaac is another example of this promise. God blessed Isaac in ways I can not imagine. Still, the thing that stuck for me was the altar that Isaac built in the place where he met with God. We will do well to follow Isaac's example. If you recall, he also pitched his tent in that place. He stayed where he met God. Let us not be quick to have a passing experience with God and rush off to the next event. I think it wise to dwell with God where He is.
Lord God, please let this be so.
In Jesus,
Joey
PS Let us move on to Jacob for next week.

Walking With Jesus
Hey guys,
Thanks for turning out last night. I am blessed by your willingness to be a part of our group. I believe we are taking great strides relationally. Although I was not at the table with you guys during supper, I know my son enjoyed being included with you. Thank you. Always remember that someone is watching you. You will influence people when you least expect it.
I left a note on the BASS blog (SSBC website - men's ministry) about this Sunday. Check it out.
We were obviously blessed to have our Romanian brothers with us. Never take those moments for granted. God is so good to allow us to gather like that.
See you Sunday,
Joey
